“Is Facility Management to Blame for Workplace Injuries?” live from USA
Good ergonomics is vital to a healthy organization especially when it comes to facility planning, management, selection and installation of workstations, chairs, lighting and other critical features. Facilities managers play a major role in these areas. Yet, many don’t realize the impact of their decisions and choices on employee work-health and safety. Serious consequences occur for employees if facility ergonomics are not up to par contributing to work injury causation in organizations. We’ll look at costly mistakes Facility Managers often make when it comes to facility design, selection of task chairs and workstations. We’ll identify what vital information is needed to avoid these errors. We’ll discuss FM’s role in work injury prevention in today’s modern workplace and explore how Facility Managers can enhance ergonomics, health and wellness programs for a happy, productive workplace. This presentation will show Facility Managers how not to be a part of the “blame game” when it comes to work injuries.
