Joachim W. Hohmann, CFM, PhD, MSc is a Professor at the Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany teaching Foundations of FM and Information Technology. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University Darmstadt, a Master Degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and a PhD (Doctorate) degree from the Technical University Darmstadt. As a co-founder and CEO of Consultants Circle, he provides consultancy in FM technology to major European companies and federal agencies, state and local governments. He is a speaker at many international conferences and author of numerous books and articles on IT in Facility and Real Estate Management.
He earned his CFM designation in 2002. Joachim served as Director at the IFMA Board from 2010 to 2013 and represented IFMA at the Board of Global FM from 2013 to 2015. He is still an active member of the IFMA FM Consultants Council (FMCC) and the IFMA Information Technology Community of Practice (ITC).
As a founding member of GEFMA’s (German FM Association) Working Group on CAFM he is one of the co-authors of the original German CAFM Handbook edition of the FM IT book. Together with Michael May he has established the contact with IFMA’s ITC to publish the current edition. Since 2016 they organize an annual international conference on IT in Real Estate and Facility Management in Frankfurt/Germany.
Geoff Williams is the General Manager at Centre for Health & Safety Innovation in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, where he is responsible for day-to-day operations, business development and corporate strategy development.
Prior to joining CHSI, he oversaw the development, implementation and marketing of a Web-based CAFM solution that is currently assisting the daily operations of a wide variety of health care facilities in managing more than 10 million square feet of property.
Geoff is on the IFMA board of directors, is the past president and current secretary of the I.T. Council of IFMA, and the past president of the Toronto Chapter of IFMA. In all of these roles, he supports the FM industry at large.
He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture, holding degrees in both architecture and environmental studies.
